Last month we had the honor of working with the family of Army Staff Sargent and Squadron Leader Lloyd Leary to plan his celebration of life. He was a decorated war veteran and a huge fan of the Angels. Lloyd led a full and interesting life, he was married for 60 years to the love of his life Laurel Leary after meeting her on a double blind date. She was the date of the other guy and he quickly realized he was with the wrong lady. They were married a few short months later. He was a pitcher for the minor leagues Chicago White Sox and then became a math teacher for 37 years and a golf coach. Lloyd E. Leary, born in Pennsylvania, passed away on April 10th, 2015 at Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, California. He is survived by his three daughters, two brothers, one sister, four grandchildren, extended family and friends. Lloyds services were held at the chapel inside of Air Force Village West followed by a beautiful military ceremony at Riverside National Cemetery. After the funeral there was a lovely reception at his daughter and son in laws home in Lloyds favorite colors featuring his favorite food.
Rest in peace Lloyd Leary
