We recently had the honor of working with the Martinez family to plan a celebration of life for their sweet son Roman. I have to say planning a memorial reception for a child is very difficult, as a mother myself you can’t help but sympathize on a totally different level. I am so happy I was able to alleviate some of the stress the Martinez family was experiencing through this incredibly difficult time. In interviewing the them I found out that Roman was a very thoughtful child with an exceptional sense of humor. He loved the things most 12 year old boys love like video games, music, sports and girls. Roman’s favorite baseball team was the Dodgers so we went with a baseball theme and really tried to make his celebration a reflection of who he was. The Dodgers were so gracious to send over a letter of condolences and a goodie bag with Dodger merchandise for the family which was appreciated more than they can ever know!
